IsAIDownNow shows whether AI services are working, using official status pages, one automatic check per minute of each service's public addresses, and reports from visitors. It also lets you check whether any website responds. Below are the rules for using the site and an honest account of the little data it handles.
Terms of Service
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using IsAIDownNow (“the site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What the site does
The site shows a live verdict for each AI service we track, based on the provider's official status page, our own automatic checks and visitor reports. The website checker makes one request to the address you enter and shows what happened. Everything is for information only: it isn't a monitoring or alerting service, and we don't guarantee it runs continuously.
3. Fair use
Use the website checker only to check sites you're trying to visit, and the report buttons only to report your own experience. Don't use either to flood, attack or stress-test a website, to scan networks, to scrape the site automatically, or to manipulate status results. Both tools are rate-limited and we may block misuse.
4. No guarantee
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. Official pages can lag, our checks run from Cloudflare's network rather than your connection, bot protection can affect results, and visitor reports can be noisy. We don't promise that any verdict is accurate, complete or current. Always check the provider's official status page before relying on it.
5. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
6. Independence, names and links
IsAIDownNow is independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any company whose service it checks. Product and company names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the services. We link to other websites, including official status pages and labelled affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure); we aren't responsible for their content or practices.
7. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Privacy Policy
1. The short version
No accounts, no cookies, no raw IP addresses stored, and nothing kept about the websites you check. This policy is written for UK GDPR and similar laws.
2. Cookies and statistics
We don't set cookies. Visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you across sites.
3. “Down for me” and “working for me” reports
When you press a report button we store the service, whether you said “down” or “working”, and the time. To stop the same person counting many times, we also store a one-way hash of your IP address mixed with a random value that is replaced every day. Old values are deleted, so the hashes can't be turned back into IP addresses or linked across days. Individual reports are kept for 30 days and then merged into hourly totals.
4. The website checker
We fetch the address you enter and show you the result. We don't store the address, the result, or a list of recently checked sites. A hashed form of your IP address is used briefly for rate limiting only.
5. Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We don't use that data to identify visitors.
6. Links, affiliate links and advertising
Other websites, including NordVPN and ExpressVPN through our affiliate links, have their own privacy policies; an affiliate link may tell them you came from us. We don't show third-party advertising yet. If we add Google AdSense, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it before any advertising cookies are used.
7. Your rights and contact
Because we don't keep information that identifies you, there's usually nothing we can find, export or delete about you. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact support@isaidownnow.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
