- Work out which part is failingHugging Face lists the Hub, Git hosting, Spaces, Inference Endpoints, two CDNs and Jobs separately. A slow model download (CDN) and a Space that won't start are different problems, so check which line in the official status above matches what you see.
- A Space shows as sleeping or pausedSpaces on free hardware go to sleep after a period without visitors and wake up when someone opens them, which can take a minute. That isn't an outage. If a Space shows a build or runtime error, the problem is usually in that Space's own code, so check its logs or contact its author.
- Getting 401 or 403 when downloading a modelGated models need you to accept their terms on the model page first, and private ones need an access token from your account. Make sure your token is set where your tool expects it and that it has read access.
- Getting 429 errors from the HubThe Hub limits how fast anonymous clients can call it. Logging in or sending a token usually gives you more room. Spread out scripts that make many calls in a row.
- Downloads are slow or stallBig model files come from Hugging Face's CDN. If downloads crawl only in one region, the official CDN lines above will often show it. Retrying later, or on another network, usually helps.
- Git push or clone failsLarge files on the Hub use Git LFS, so install and enable it before cloning model repositories. If Git hosting shows problems above, wait for it to recover before retrying big pushes.
