Not working for you? Try this
- Editor, generation or sharing?Synthesia lists these separately. If you can edit but videos never finish, check “Video generation” above; if finished videos won't play for viewers, check “Video Sharing”.
- A video is taking a long timeRendering avatar videos takes time, longer for longer scripts. Wait a while before resubmitting; resubmitting the same video can make it slower.
- Check your plan's video allowanceSynthesia plans limit how many minutes of video you can make. If generation won't start, check your remaining allowance.
- Shared link not playingIf viewers can't watch a shared video, check its sharing settings and the “Video Sharing” status. Company networks sometimes block video hosts.
- API users: read the status codeAuthentication errors mean a missing or wrong API key; errors in the 500s are on Synthesia's side and are worth retrying later.

Questions about Synthesia outages
Why won't my Synthesia video finish?
Long scripts take longer to render, and queues grow at busy times. If everyone is affected, “Video generation” shows problems in the status above.
Can viewers watch my videos when the editor is down?
Usually, because sharing is listed separately. Check the Video Sharing line above.
