Cursor is now sold as part of The X Subscription, together with Grok and X. New plans share a weekly usage pool with Grok; older plans such as Pro and Pro+ keep their monthly limits. Here's what Cursor's own pages say.

How Cursor limits work

  • Cursor is sold inside The X Subscription, one subscription for Grok, Cursor and X. source
  • Paid plans get a weekly pool for Cursor's own models, shared with Grok. source
  • Claude, GPT and Gemini models aren't covered by the pool. source
  • Unused usage doesn't roll over. source

Limits by plan

Free

$0 source

  • Agent and Chat with limited usage. Cursor doesn't give a number. source

Plus

$8 a month, or $80 a year source

  • Agent with Cursor's own models (Grok and Composer) at fixed settings; the base pool. source

Premium

$30 a month, or $300 a year source

  • Everything in Plus with 4 times the usage. source

Super

$100 a month, or $1,000 a year source

  • 15 times the Plus usage, with priority at busy times. source

Ultra

$200 a month, or $2,000 a year source

  • 50 times the Plus usage. source

Teams and Enterprise

Premium, Super or Ultra seats at the same prices as the personal plans source

  • Each member gets the same weekly usage as the matching personal plan. source
  • Extra usage stops when the prepaid balance is empty or the team's monthly limit is reached. source

Legacy plans (Hobby, Pro, Pro+, Ultra, old Teams)

  • Usage resets monthly with your billing cycle. source
  • Pro, Pro+ and Ultra include unlimited Tab completions; Pro+ and Ultra include more usage than Pro. source
  • On Hobby, AI features pause until the pool resets. source

What happens when you hit a limit

  • You can keep working from prepaid credit, wait for the weekly reset, or upgrade. source
  • Cursor says requests are never made slower or lower quality. source
  • A monthly cap on paid extra usage applies; when you reach it, extra usage pauses until next month or until you raise it. source

When does my limit reset?

  • The weekly reset can't be calculated: Cursor shows each account its next reset date in the editor settings and on the usage dashboard. Legacy plans reset on your own monthly billing date. source

What Anysphere's pages don't say

Where the official information is missing or vague, we say so rather than guess.

  • How much usage the Free plan or the Plus pool includes; only multiples of Plus are given. source
  • The day and time zone of the weekly reset. source
  • Short-term rate limits. source
